Is travelling across the globe your life’s passion? If so, you have come to the right place. My name is Jenny, and I am a keen traveller myself. I am 32 years old and I have been touring the world since I was a small kid.
My parents are the most adventurous, open-minded, and energetic people I know. They have dedicated their lives to exploring the wonders of the world and managed to spark the same passion in me. Ever since I graduated from college, I devoted all of my free time to visiting exotic places and learning new things.
My experiences
I have a very demanding job, and I like to take long breaks whenever I can, so travelling across the world has become my much-needed escape. I ought to admit I like to spoil myself throughout my journeys, so I write a lot about high-end exotic experiences.
However, it has not always been so. When I was a young college graduate, I had quite limited funds, which were hardly enough to fund my outlandish adventures. Despite that, I never let money get in the way of my desire to travel to new places and taste exciting experiences. Thus, I became an expert in budget-friendly tourism. You will learn a lot about that on this blog. It might be surprising to you, but a wisely put budget can really take you places you have not even imagined.
Also, I did spend some years in the so-called “jet-setting” world, so I share some thoughts on this topic as well. You will learn who the modern-day jet setters are, and how they spend their time travelling abroad to posh, exotic destinations.
Why I like exploring new cultures
To me, travelling to exotic places around the world is not about taking selfies from famous resorts and sightseeing landmarks. I am genuinely interested in learning in-depth about the local cultures, customs, and traditions. It keeps my mind open and helps expand my vision and ideas. I talk a lot about that in my posts because, for me, this is the most exciting thing about travelling.
Exotic food? Yes, please!
If there is one thing you need to know about me, it is that, besides exploring exotic places, I also adore food. One of the first things I research when setting my next travel goal is the local cuisine. I make a list of all the foods I’d like to try and I stick to it religiously. To experience a more authentic feel of a place’s typical dishes, I mostly buy street food and try to get as many homemade meals as possible.
The latter also helps me connect with the locals on a deeper level. You cannot imagine how many times I have been invited to the homes of people I just met to share a tasty meal and have a heartfelt conversation.
What is more, I always come home with a bagful of amazing recipes. As a true foodie, I love cooking myself, and I frequently entertain my friends at home, where I like to surprise them with all kinds of new, delicious ideas I have brought back from my travels.
Home sweet home
While I must admit I feel quite at home in any part of the world, there is no place I love more than Ireland. Therefore, as much as I enjoy my frequent travels, I always gladly come back. There is no feeling so sweet as to unlock my door and enter my flat with a heart full of new exciting memories.
Besides, I like to keep a piece of every journey with me, and my home is filled with the most curious, unusual objects I have brought back from my travels. I like to look at them every day and remind myself of the places I have visited and the things I have experienced.
What is more, they are excellent conversation pieces, and I like recounting all sorts of bizarre stories about my travel memorabilia with my guests. After all, the biggest part of my travelling joy lies in sharing my adventures with the rest of the world. That is why I started thing blog, and I hope you will find my experiences useful and interesting. I invite you to join me in discovering the most exotic travel destinations and I wish we have a great time together!
