China Holidays
Have you planned this year’s major vacation? If not, how about paying a visit to China for your holiday? The flow of tourists to the country has been at an all-time high for the last few years, and the government has been taking all the measures they could to accommodate all the extra tourists; needless to say, nowadays visiting China can be a great experience with many things to see and do.
The Great Wall, for example, is easily the most recognizable monument of China and probably in the whole world. Built centuries ago to shield China from their barbaric neighbors, it covers an astounding 8,850 kilometers of length, and took several centuries to complete its construction. You can actually see the several separate walls, which were adjoined to form the Great Wall, if you traveled around it.
In the center of Beijing you could also visit the famous Forbidden City, which served as the seat for the imperial throne for five centuries up to 1912. Recognized as an official UNESCO World Heritage Site, it’s one of the most visited locations by tourists in Beijing. If you want to avoid the large crowds you should come by around the evening, but you may not get to enjoy the scenery in its fullest that way.
The Siberian tiger park in Harbin is also quite the interesting sight. “Tiger park” sounds odd as a name of a place, but it’s basically the best way to describe this place where the fauna comprises entirely of lions and tigers frolicking in the wild. A captivating location where you can also enjoy some interesting scenery, the animals are well-trained too so they shouldn’t scare you if you do not feel safe around them or have children with you – just do not provoke them, of course.
