* ALL INCLUSIVE RESORT * PADI DIVE CENTRE * 2 GOURMET RESTAURANTS * BREATHTAKING VIEWS * SUPERB SPA *

LOCATION:
Nestling within a 600-acre private plantation on St. Lucia’s southwest coast and with spectacular views of the Pitons, the family owned and run Anse Chastanet is 15 minutes from the town of Soufriere. Transfer time from the airport is 60 minutes.

PROPERTY:
Secluded and with music provided by the forest's nocturnal tree-frog chorus, the romantic and unique Anse Chastanet resort is a popular getaway for couples and honeymooners. The “get away from it all” philosophy ensures that rooms have no TV or radio, instead guests get to savour the spectacular views from the treehouse-style rooms on the flower decked hillside. There are two beautiful beaches where guests can enjoy snorkelling, windsurfing, kayaks and sailing.  Complimentary water taxis are available to take guests to the hotel’s second secluded beach.

Anse Mamin is a 500-foot wide, two-mile deep canyon which once served as a 17th-century sugar and cocoa plantation. Here you will find 12 miles of mountain-biking and hiking trails that snake through jungles laced with mangos, coconuts, bananas and cocoa.

Dining at Anse Chastanet offers the finest in local and international cuisine, both in the hilltop Piton restaurant with spectacular views of St. Lucia’s beautiful sunset or Trou au Diable the beachside restaurant.

Anse Chastanet is located in the heart of St. Lucia’s marine reserve which boasts remarkable coral reefs and for divers there’s a PADI dive school right on the beach.  For those looking for a more leisurely holiday unwind in the Kai Belté Spa which offers a range of therapeutic body and beauty treatments. The resort also has two small shops, a library and an art gallery. In our opinion this is a truly unique first class hideaway in one of the most romantic settings in all of the Caribbean. We highly recommend for honeymooners, nature lovers and scuba divers.

ACCOMMODATION:
Secluded among tropical foliage are the resort's 49 individually designed rooms, 37 of which are scattered about a lush hillside, and 12 which are nestled within a tropical garden at beach level. The furniture has been individually designed and handmade in the region with the exclusive use of the island woods such as teak, mahogany, green heart, red cedar and wild breadfruit. All rooms have ceiling fan, patio area, fridge, electric tea/coffee maker, hair dryer, and in-room safe. Accommodations also include locally made straw rugs, pottery, carved-wood decorations and yellow ceiling bulbs that cast soft light from underneath wicker shades. Some rooms have a formal separation between the bedroom and sitting room while others are completely open plan. A 4th wall may be missing entirely in some rooms to enhance the amazing views of the Caribbean Sea and/or the Pitons.

St Lucia is a beautiful island with some of the most enviable natural beauty in the Caribbean. Its landscapes are simply stunning – from the impressive twin Piton peaks in the south to the lush tropical interior rain forest, extending down to the honey and rich dark sand beaches.

St. Lucia is the second largest of the Windward Islands lying between St. Vincent and Martinique.
Its shape resembles one of the island’s favourite fruits, the mango. With an area of 238 square miles, exploring is a must but the speed is always leisurely as the hilly terrain means road travel is best enjoyed at a gentle pace.
In the south of St Lucia the Pitons - two large peaks rise above lush rainforest where unusual tropical birds live among the exotic plants and wild orchids. The famous Pitons are an essential stop, as is the drive-in volcano, botanical gardens and the Diamond Waterfalls that drop down in six stages through sulphur springs that change the colour of the water to brilliant shades of yellow, green and purple.

The magnificent weather and exceptional natural beauty of St Lucia make it a popular destination for weddings and honeymoon couples, with excellent facilities in place to make the big day as perfect.  For the hopelessly romantic, the island offers a picture perfect setting for an unforgettable Caribbean wedding.
